As Membership Director for The HOUSTON Club, the oldest private club in the Southwestern U.S., having been founded in 1894, Cynthia has orchestrated a profound renaissance in the Club through the recruitment of 300+ new members within an 18-month period. Her development and implementation of business networking events and other programs has kept the Club relevant and resulted in a fresh demographic for the Club that accurately reflects the rich cultural diversity that makes Houston one of the most desirable cities for the location of new business and the pursuit of entrepreneurial ventures.
As VP of Sales and Marketing for MBO Partners, a nationally recognized employee benefit firm, Cynthia triggered 3-fold returns to the division and $10 million in new business by optimizing and growing relationships with key industry players. She built a new division as head of the Commissioned Professionals unit , managed the profit and loss of a business segment, and designed and managed multiple marketing and sales programs.
Cynthia successfully negotiated strategic business alliances that generated a new revenue stream, expanded markets, and promoted greater brand recognition for RE/MAX of Texas. She coordinated six marketing budgets, managed multiple business plans, and led the marketing team to design and implement ad campaigns including streaming video, rich media, print, radio, newspaper, trade publications, and billboards. She created a new role at RE/MAX, brought in $1 million in new revenue to the bottom line, led her region to become "Region of the Year," and won first place recognition network-wide for the "Best Newsletter."
Cynthia is currently serving as Membership Director and has served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Communications Manager, and Mortgage Loan Officer. She earned a B.A. degree, summa cum laude, in English and Creative Writing and directs her creative side to visioning and implementing successful marketing strategies. Cynthia challenges herself and inspires others around her to reach their full potential through collaborative team efforts.
Cynthia enjoys spending time with her newly-married daughter Chloe', reading, writing, cooking (hosting interesting dinner parties) and social networking. She loves connecting people, technology, old movies, traveling, fine wine, Rocky Patel cigars and flying. Cynthia has studied architecture and has a minor in Art History. A writer of literary novels, historical fiction and poetry. she also likes to fish and craves the time spent at her sanctuary on Galveston Island.
